The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom has chosen the company Green Network Energy Ltd as their supplier of electricity and gas for their offices in London. For more information see the IDTechEx report on Energy Harvesting Microwatt to Megawatt 2019-2029.
The service supply to the Spanish Chamber of Commerce will begin on 12 July 2020 for a duration of 2 years. The energy to be supplied will be 100% "green", therefore generated through renewable sources.
Green Network, one of the main providers of electricity and gas in Italy, has been active in the UK since 2016 and is the only Italian operator present in the UK energy market.
To date, the company counts 700,000 customers in the United Kingdom, including local companies and citizens, British and Italian, located in England, Scotland and Wales.
"The agreements we have reached with the Chamber of Commerce makes us proud of the work we are accomplishing. One such prestigious institution choosing Green Network for the supply of energy, as the Italian Embassy in the United Kingdom had already achieved in recent months, is a source of great satisfaction for all of us," stated Sabrina Corbo, founder and executive vice President of the Green Network Group.
"Our Group is also a reality in the United Kingdom, a country in which we are operating successfully and where we are growing significantly, as a result of the reliability of our work, the quality of our service and our attention to customer needs," concluded Ms. Corbo.
Green Network Energy UK is an independent energy supplier, founded in 2016 to bring an Italian touch to the UK market. Currently it serves about 650,000 residential and about 3,000 business accounts and offers tariffs to suit different requirements (including a 100% renewable electricity tariff). It plans to grow further and challenge larger UK providers. Parent company, Green Network, is a major Italian energy supplier (fourth largest for volume of electricity), launched in 2003 following deregulation of the market. It commands a €2bn+ turnover, invests in renewable energy generation schemes across Italy and in Romania and plans further expansion in European markets.
