Cellergy, manufacturer of Electrochemical Double Layer Capacitors (EDLCs), has just introduced its new CLK series, for extended operating temperature applications in the range of -40° to 85°C. The new CLK supercapacitors also offer twice as much capacitance as the company's popular general purpose CLG series. The increased capacitance is currently available for 14 configurations of Cellergy's 17x17.5 mm and 28x17.5 mm footprint products, with additional values and footprints to be available later this year.
The new supercapacitors offer an excellent solution for pulse applications which require higher capacitance and lower voltage drop, such as GSM/GPRS transmitters, smart meters (AMR), Solid State Drives, USB powered audio systems, memory and power supply back-ups, security systems, and M2M wireless communication products.
The CLK supercapacitors are offered with 3.5, 4.2, 5.5 and 12V nominal voltages, low ESRs (from 80 to 480 mΏ), and high capacitances (from 30 to 240 mF). Supercapacitors bridge the gap between the power delivery limitations of batteries and the energy delivery capabilities of conventional capacitors, allowing for unlimited high pulse currents, and enabling reduction of the voltage drop in battery-operated applications.
The CLK series, like the entire Cellergy standard line, is available through electronic distributors and representatives worldwide.
Thanks to its unique patented screen printing process, Cellergy supercapacitors provide the smallest footprint on the market, along with cost-effective, energy-saving, high-performing, customizable and environmentally safe supercapacitors for space-limited applications in consumer, mobile, industrial, and medical electronics markets and other uses calling for inexpensive high volume production, and requiring long operating life between recharges or replacements.
