GMZ Energy appoints Cheryl Diuguid as CEO

GMZ Energy, a leading provider of the world's most advanced high-temperature thermoelectric generation ("TEG") power solutions, has announced the appointment of Cheryl Diuguid as CEO. GMZ Energy's cost-effective TEG systems convert waste heat to power to increase efficiency in virtually all internal combustion engines. Through a $9 million grant from the DOE, GMZ Energy is integrating its TEG module into a Bradley Fighting Vehicle in order to increase its efficiency and reduce petroleum consumption.
With more than 20 years of international business experience, Cheryl has held senior executive positions in billion dollar divisions of multinational corporations as well as in startups and early stage companies. Her career spans a variety of technologies in the power and energy industries, including lighting/LED, sapphire, fuel cells and industrial batteries.
About GMZ Energy
GMZ Energy is the only provider of commercially viable, low-cost thermoelectric modules that reliably generate power from high-temperature heat sources. The company's TEG solutions increase efficiency in virtually all internal combustion engines, improve the economics of large-scale industrial heating processes, and even add a power generation function to conventional combustion products such as boilers and camp stoves. GMZ Energy supplies its TEG modules to OEM partners in the automotive, heavy equipment, HVAC, consumer products, power generation, industrial waste heat and military industries. Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Waltham, MA, GMZ's top-tier investors include Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, BP Alternative Energy, I2BF, Mitsui Global Investment, and Energy Technology Ventures, a joint venture between General Electric, NRG Energy, and ConocoPhillips.
