Perpetuum, a maker of electromagnetic energy harvesters, showed at Sensors Expo this week five customers that have integrated their energy harvester solutions with their products. These are GE Bently Nevada, Siemens, Emerson, Honeywell and National Instruments. These companies - among the biggest process control/sensing integrators in the World, will offer the Perpetuum energy harvesters to power wireless sensors they offer, pictured below.

IDTechEx see this as a great step forward for the energy harvesting industry - that key wireless sensor providers see the need and benefit of using energy harvesters and have now incorporated this into their products. The addition of Perpetuum's energy harvesting solutions offer end-users maintenance-free, fit and forget extended power advantage versus traditional "battery only" wireless sensor network offerings.
