IDTechEx Attends Chinese Embassy Reception Celebrating National Day

On 25 September 2026, IDTechEx Senior Analyst Shihao Fu attended, by invitation, a reception hosted by the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom to mark the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Coinciding with the Mid-Autumn Festival, the event brought together guests from across the UK and Chinese communities.

Chinese Ambassador Zheng Zeguang addressed the reception, while Baroness Winterton, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, spoke on behalf of the UK Government. More than 500 guests attended, including representatives from British public life, the diplomatic community, Chinese businesses and organisations, and students. In his remarks, Ambassador Zheng highlighted opportunities for UK-China cooperation in technological innovation, artificial intelligence, new energy and climate action.
