Composite materials have traditionally enabled lightweight, high-performance solutions in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, and construction. Today, these same materials play a pivotal role in accelerating the global energy transition. As industries respond to growing decarbonization pressures and sustainability goals, fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites, particularly those based on glass and carbon fibers, are being adopted across a wide range of next-generation renewable energy systems. From wind turbine blades and hydrogen storage vessels to EV battery enclosures and marine energy components, composites are improving structural performance, extending system lifetimes, and helping reduce costs.

Based on findings from IDTechEx's new report "Composite Materials for Green Energy Applications 2026-2046: Trends, Technologies & Sustainability Outlook", this webinar provides a critical and independent assessment of the sector. The session will explore key renewable energy application areas, highlighting the material innovations and regulatory pressures that are driving shifts towards circular and sustainable composite solutions. Emerging trends and long-term market trajectories will also be discussed, providing a comprehensive outlook for composites in the global energy landscape.

This webinar will:
  • Provide an overview of composite materials, covering fiber reinforcements and resin matrices
  • Discuss the major sustainability trends for composite materials, focussing on recyclable composite materials
  • Outline the major and emerging green energy applications for fiber reinforced composite materials helping to drive growth over the next 20 years

We will be holding exactly the same webinar three times in one day. Please register for the session most convenient for you.
